Rio Fernando Park, Taos, New Mexico. Approx. 20' h x 30'w x 20'd. 2024. As Artist-In-Residence with local arts organization Paseo Project, I worked with the Taos Land Trust and many interns and volunteers to help restore the property by cutting unwanted Siberian Elm trees, and using the material to build this installation. The Altar anchors a mini-park within the larger park; it is a place for private reflection, and a gathering space for groups large and small. The slide show below shows various views, as well as the installation in its function as a platform for music and dance.
